TITLE: Amplifying LGBTQIA+ Community
Community is proud to kick off the Amplify Pride program, in support of 10 remarkable LGBTQIA+ small business owners, right here in SoCal. Recipients of this program each receive a unique 10-digit Community number that will enable them to utilize our tech to drive conversations that convert into actions, sales, and revenue, ultimately driving economic growth and impact at a critical time for businesses.
As we welcome more companies onto the platform that have created spaces for people to further their journeys to being seen, understood, recognized, accepted and more, I have never been more encouraged to stand alongside over 30 amazing partners in this program.
The 2021 class of the Pride Amplify program includes:
Dolce Blooms: floral and event design company based in Los Angeles for all occasions and needs.
Empowerment in Heels Burlesque School/ Miss Marquez: She has performed internationally and in LA's most renowned live performance venues since 2010. In 2017 she created the Empowerment in Heels Burlesque School as a way to provide a safe space for all body shapes, gender identities, sexual orientations, ethnicities, and race to explore the beauty and catharsis of Burlesque.
MaeDay Rescue: a non-profit dog rescue based in Los Angeles. They save hundreds of dogs and cats, of all breeds and ages, from the shelters and streets through its foster based program.
Magic Carpets: explores the mystical intersection of queerness and spirituality, creating hand-tufted rugs that breathe life into spaces. As a teacher at heart, AJ, Magic Carpet’s founder, is on a mission to share this transformational craft with other curious creatives.
Meagan Brooks/ Flying Dinosaur Designs: based in Los Angeles, this graphic design company specializes in neon sign fabrication, logos and branding, product packaging, web graphics, and prop/set graphics.
Melanin Meetups: Melanin MeetUps is a think tank that creates private monthly meetups for African-Americans to connect, heal and shape our experience across industry and policy for 21st century advancement.
Nova Sage: a black owned, artisan brand specializing in homemade beauty products. They stock a variety of essential products carefully handcrafted to enhance holistic wellness.
NiK Kacy: the first luxury footwear and accessories brand dedicated to creating designs that break and go beyond the gender binary.
The Queer 26: a 501(c)(3) multimedia non-profit organization supporting QTBIPOC creatives. Through its workshops, services, and projects, the organization shares its communities’ stories and offers resources that allow them to not only survive but thrive while pursuing their dreams.
SweetBoy: a cottage food business delivering made to order baked goods throughout Los Angeles.
